Goals

Marketing partner goals: We had two separate pages speaking to how and why you should join McGraw Hill Communities, one speaking to the Educator Communities and one speaking to Product Specific Communities, they wanted to combine that story, while explaining you needed to join the Educator Communities to join your Product Community.

They also wanted to provide guidance to educators that they only join the product communities that they are active users of.

Process

When starting out, we knew we wanted to make a simple structure that would be easy for our customers to navigate, as well as succinctly explain what Communities is, the sign up process, and what you get with an account. A key update to the single page, was to provide two clear access point areas to the platform. So, we added twp “Create an Account” and “Log In” CTA’s on the page, one at the top and one near the bottom, in case someone needed to read more before joining.

Design

As I designed the page, I knew I wanted the page to feel unique from other McGraw Hill pages, but still part of the family. So, I played more with the Purples and pinks in the brand. I also wanted to lean into the McGraw Hill Illustration style to help tell that “Get Started” story.
